About
Who am I?
I am a Senior at Michigan State University studying Information Science with a focus in Human Centered Technologies and minors in Graphic Design and Business. I am currently designing for student startup ventures at the MSU Burgess Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. In addition, I am the Vice President of the Michigan State Chapter of the American Institute of Graphic Arts, a member of the MSU Student Allocation Board, and an active member of MSU Experience Architecture Club and Canvases for Communities. With an expected graduation date of May 2024, I am currently working towards a Masters in HCI (graduation date of May 2025) and a career in UX Design!
How did I get here?
I was introduced to UX Design after graduating high school. I wasn't sure what career I wanted to pursue, but I knew I was passionate about helping others and bringing creative concepts to life. I had an amazing conversation with a family friend about what I wanted to do with my passions, and he told me UX Design would be the perfect fit. Fast forward three years and I couldn't agree more! I am passionate about UX Design because I enjoy learning about why people are drawn to certain technologies and furthering those experiences through research to make them thoughtful, impactful and enjoyable.
Where am I going?
While the possibilities in the world of UX Design are endless, I have a few goals in mind I work towards every day. A few of these goals include:
Landing another internship to gain valuable experience and grow as a designer.
Finishing my Masters Degree in HCI (Human Computer Interaction) by May 2025.
Becoming the president of Michigan State AIGA in Spring, 2024.
What do you when you're not designing?
In my free time, I enjoy reading, drawing, volunteering, creating edible designs (high-fidelity of course), traveling, art museums, and spending time with my cat. I also love meeting new people, so if you'd like to discuss UX Design (or your love for cats), feel free to contact me via email or Linkedin!
